Work brag sheet template: document your wins with STAR
A work brag sheet is a running list of your accomplishments, written as short bullets with results attached, so reviews, resumes, and raise conversations never start from memory.
This page gives you the structure, a worked STAR example, and a small tool that formats your wins for you. It is free, and nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
Why a brag sheet beats a good memory
When review season arrives, most people can remember last month and can barely remember March. The projects, the praise, the problem you fixed at 6pm, it all blurs. A brag sheet solves that with two minutes of effort per win, captured while the details are fresh.
The habit matters more than the format. A notes-app list with dates beats a beautiful document updated once a year. Structure just makes each bullet stronger when someone finally reads it.
The STAR method, in brag sheet form
STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, Result. It is a simple way to turn a vague memory into a bullet with proof in it. You do not need all four parts in every line, but running a win through STAR once makes the bullet specific.
SSituation
Set the scene in one line. What was the problem, the deadline, or the mess you walked into? Keep it short enough that a skimming manager gets it.
TTask
State what you were responsible for. Yours, not the team's. This line separates what happened around you from what you owned.
AAction
Describe what you actually did, in verbs. Researched, rebuilt, negotiated, automated. This is the part interviewers and reviewers care about most.
RResult
End with what changed. Numbers are best. Hours saved, errors down, people helped. If you have no number, name the visible before and after.
A worked example
- Situation:
- Our team's weekly report took about four hours to build by hand every Friday.
- Task:
- I was asked to find time savings in the reporting process.
- Action:
- I built a spreadsheet template that pulled the numbers in automatically, and taught the team how to use it.
- Result:
- The weekly report now takes about 20 minutes, and two other teams started using the same template.
Try it: the mini win log
Start with two or three wins from the last few months. If a bullet reads flat, the result column is usually the missing part.

Build a brag sheet bullet
Add what you did and what it changed. Each entry becomes one clean bullet you can paste into a review, resume, or status update.
Your entries stay on this page in your browser. A page refresh clears the list, and the text you type never leaves it.
When manual tracking stops being enough
A brag sheet works until life gets busy, which is exactly when the wins start happening. Opening a document, remembering the format, and finding the last entry are three small barriers, and each one drops a win you will want back later.
That is the problem Soar90 removes. It is a $9.99 app, one-time, no subscription, built for your first 90 days in a job. You log a win in seconds from your phone, tag it, and the app formats it for you. Praise from your manager gets saved next to it as a shout-out. When your review comes, one tap turns the record into a first-person summary you can share.
Use this page as long as it serves you. If you want the tracking to happen as you work instead of as a separate chore, the free demo shows how the app does it.
